Periodic Testing of Electrical Installations
As all electrical wiring, appliances and components deteriorate with age it is important to identify (in order of priority) any deficiencies which may be present relating to the safety of an installation.
It is highly recommended that all commercial properties be inspected at least once every 5 years and all residential properties be inspected once every 10 years. On completion of testing, a Periodic Inspection Report will be issued and will state the current wiring installation to be in either a ‘satisfactory’ condition, in which no immediate work is required; or in an ‘unsatisfactory’ condition in which alterations are required to bring the property up to the recommended minimum safety standards for use. To bring the property up to the relevant safety standards an electrician in Bournemouth or your local area is recommended.
